How to qualify:
Open and fund a new registered TFSA or margin online trading account account with a minimum of CAD $1,000 between Start Date and 11:59 p.m. ET, December 31st 2024 (“Promotion Period”) and get 5 commission-free stock trades, option tickets (excluding the cost of contracts) or ETF sells for your Questrade account.

In order for existing clients to take advantage of this offer, a new account-type must be opened. For example, if an existing client has a margin account, they must open an RSP account in order to qualify.
Accounts must be completed within 60 days of submitting the application to qualify for the offer.
Minimum initial funding:
Minimum required funding to get 5 commission-free trades is CAD $1,000.
If the client is funding the account by transferring from another broker, the transfer must be initiated by 11:59 p.m. December 31st, 2024 and funding must be completed within 60 days of initiation to qualify for the offer.
New accounts cannot be funded by using funds from another Questrade account. The assets deposited into the qualifying account must be net new assets.
Free trades period:
Only trades completed within 60 days from the date the account is activated with the minimum requirement of $1,000 for the 5 commission-free trades offer, will be eligible for the rebate.
Eligible trade details:
This offer applies to equity trades, option tickets (excluding the cost of contracts) and ETF sells, and does not apply to precious metal trades, mutual fund trades, or foreign currency trades.
Eligible trades will be rebated up to a maximum of $9.95 per trade. The maximum possible value of this promotional offer is $49.75.
The client's account will first be charged for the trading commissions and within ten (10). business days the trade rebates will be applied to the client's account.
Other trade fees including exchange and ECN fees may apply.
Clients will not receive cash compensation for any unused free trade commissions.

TFSA account balances are subject to Government of Canada regulations stipulating maximum annual contribution levels. For a rebate, submit a statement from your financial institution displaying the transfer fees incurred within 60 days of the transfer request being submitted to Questrade.
