$50 Prepaid Visa Card

Questrade is offering new and existing clients a $50 prepaid Visa rewards card when a new account is opened and funded with CAD $5,000.

How to qualify for this offer:

Submit an application for a new TFSA*, registered , margin or FX and CFD account by 11:59 p.m. ET, February 27th, 2015.
Open and fund a new account with a minimum of CAD $5,000 within 60 days of submitting the new account application.
Once the account is funded with $5,000, execute one commissionable trade within 30 days to receive a CAD $50 Visa rewards cards.

General:

Client must ensure the promotion code VISA50 is pre-populated on the webpage when submitting the new account application.
This offer is open to new and existing clients.
For existing Questrade clients to be eligible for this offer, they must open a new account type, on or after September 29th, 2014 and on or before February 27th, 2015.
New accounts cannot be funded by using funds from another Questrade account. The assets deposited into the qualifying account must be net new assets.
If a client is funding their account by transferring from another broker, the transfer must be initiated by 11:59 p.m. ET, February 27th, 2015 and must be completed within 60 days of initiation to qualify for the offer.
One prepaid Visa rewards card only will be granted to each client, irrespective of the number of new accounts opened during the promotion period from September 29th, 2014 until February 27th, 2015 by the client.
The prepaid Visa rewards card will be awarded in CAD and mailed to the client within 40 business days of the account reaching the minimum funding requirement of CAD $5,000 and the execution of one commissionable trade in the eligible account.
Account holders must maintain a minimum account balance of CAD $5,000 in assets for at least three (3) months of account activation for the reward card offer. If the account balance falls below CAD $5,000 in assets before the end of the three (3) month period due to withdrawals on your account, you will no longer qualify for the promotion and Questrade will have the option to apply a charge to your account based on the reward card amount awarded. If the account balance falls below CAD $5,000 in assets due to market fluctuations, you will still be eligible for the promotion and no charges will be applied.

This is a one-time offer per client and if a client is eligible for this offer, the client will not be eligible for any other Questrade offers from the date the account became eligible for the giftcard award and is applied to the client’s account, until twelve (12) months have passed from that date.
This offer cannot be combined or used in conjunction with any other Questrade offer except free to transfer (see below).

FREE TO TRANSFER

Questrade will pay your transfer-out fees up to CAD $150 when you move a minimum of CAD $25,000 to Questrade from another brokerage. Payment of the transfer-out fee is capped at CAD $150 and is limited to one account per client.

* TFSA account balances are subject to Government of Canada regulations stipulating maximum annual contribution levels. Please contact the CRA or your tax adviser for the rules governing TFSA accounts.

Prepaid Visa Rewards Card:

All clients who are eligible for the prepaid Visa rewards card offer will be mailed a prepaid Visa card valued at CAD $50. The prepaid Visa rewards card can be redeemed wherever Visa is accepted. The card is non-refundable and non-transferable and not redeemable for cash.
A third party will mail the prepaid Visa rewards card to the client on behalf of Questrade, upon the client account becoming eligible for the offer. Questrade may take up to 40 business days to issue the prepaid Visa rewards card to the client upon receiving eligibility confirmation details.
Questrade reserves the right in its sole discretion to provide cash value in the client’s account of CAD $50 in lieu of the prepaid Visa rewards card.
By submitting a new account application for this offer, all clients are providing consent for Questrade to provide their first name, last name, mailing address and telephone number to a third party (Citizen’s Bank) to process, mail and activate the pre-paid Visa rewards card.
Once the client has received the card in the mail, the client must call and activate the pre-paid Visa rewards card, before use. Details on how to activate the card will be provided in a letter accompanying the card.
